22nd World Scout Jamboree 2011

The World Scout Jamboree is the biggest thing in Scouting! Every four years, tens of thousands of Scouts from all over the world gather together to celebrate the very best that Scouting has to offer. The next Jamboree takes place in Sweden in kicks off on July 27th 2011, in Rinkaby, Sweden.
Eight Scouts from Rossendale have been selected as part of the East Lancashire contingent to the World Jamboree in Sweden in 2011. There were over 60 applicants for the 36 places, and competition was extremely stiff! Around a quarter of the entire Contingent will be from Rossendale, and we're extremely proud of the work they've already put in, and fully support them on their mission to the Jamboree. Over the next eighteen months, they'll have to raise £1950 each - but we know that our young people are capable of this!
The following young people have been selected: Chris T, Emma T, Savannah H, Beth W, Jack T, Thomas S, Oliver C and Alistair W.
Latest Jamboree News: As requested during our speech at St Georges Day, if anyone has any scouting items that they wish to donate to us for us to swap at the Jamboree, please can you email either Chris T or John Davey.
