Cub Scouts at District Cub Camp

Cubs from 3 Cub Packs in Rossendale, St Marys, Rawtenstall; Trinity Baptist, Bacup; 38^th Rossendale, Cloughfold; attended the annual District Cub Camp, on the weekend of the 7^th – 9^th May, this year held at Bowley Scout Camp, in Great Harwood.

This year’s theme was Pirates and activities included, rifle shooting, archery, climbing, rafting and making crafts. Crafts included making an eye patch, cutlass and boat. The boats were tested for there water worthiness on the pond and were all met the standard. 

Friday night Cubs and Leaders went on a night hike around the local countryside.

Thanks to good weather and the hard work from leaders all the Cub Scouts had a good time, in addition to enjoying the weekend, Cubs were able to gain badges for camping
