Roseendale Sixers Training Course

Cubs from 5 Cub Packs in Rossendale attended the training course. Work was done with the Cubs to increase their knowledge and ability, of what would be expected of them as Sixers/Seconders in their Packs.

Bases were done on

• Teamwork
• Leadership skills
• Ceremonies
• Sixer/Seconder Councils

As well as the hard work they had to do, an opportunity was given for the Cubs to enjoy themselves participating in games and watching the Leaders make a fool of themselves with role play as part of one of the bases.

The Cubs had a discussion as part of a District Sixers Council, to look at the proposed centenary events being organised in 2012 and the District Cub events which are organised in Rossendale. Following getting their views on the events, we had a discussion about what events Cubs would like to see. This feedback will be fed back to Leaders meetings to be considered.
